چکیده
Enantioselective reactions are at the core of chemical synthesis. Their development mostly relies on prior knowledge, laborious product analysis and post-rationalization by theoretical methods. Here, we introduce a simple fast method to determine enantioselectivities based mass spectrometry. The is ion mobility separation diastereomeric intermediates, formed from chiral catalyst prochiral reactants, delayed reactant labeling experiments link spectra with reaction kinetics in solution. data provide rate constants along paths for individual revealing origins enantioselectivity. Using derived kinetics, enantioselectivity overall can be predicted. Hence, this offer rapid discovery optimization enantioselective future. We illustrate addition cyclopentadiene (CP) an α,β-unsaturated aldehyde catalyzed diarylprolinol silyl ether.

COPD Exacerbation Biomarkers Validated Using Multiple Reaction Monitoring Mass Spectrometry
BACKGROUND Acute exacerbations of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (AECOPD) result in considerable morbidity and mortality. However, there are no objective biomarkers to diagnose AECOPD. METHODS We used multiple reaction monitoring mass spectrometry to quantify 129 distinct proteins in plasma samples from patients with COPD. This analytical approach was first performed in a biomarker coh...
متن کاملAdvanced off-gas measurement using proton transfer reaction mass spectrometry to predict cell culture parameters
Background Mass spectrometry is a well-known technology to detect O2 and CO2 in the off-gas of cell culture fermentations. In contrast to classical mass spectrometers, the proton transfer reaction mass spectrometer (PTR MS) enables the noninvasive analysis of a broad spectrum of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) in real time. The thereby applied soft ionization technology generates spectra of l...
متن کاملParallel Reaction Monitoring: A Targeted Experiment Performed Using High Resolution and High Mass Accuracy Mass Spectrometry
The parallel reaction monitoring (PRM) assay has emerged as an alternative method of targeted quantification. The PRM assay is performed in a high resolution and high mass accuracy mode on a mass spectrometer. This review presents the features that make PRM a highly specific and selective method for targeted quantification using quadrupole-Orbitrap hybrid instruments. In addition, this review d...
متن کاملTargeted proteome investigation via selected reaction monitoring mass spectrometry.
Due to the enormous complexity of proteomes which constitute the entirety of protein species expressed by a certain cell or tissue, proteome-wide studies performed in discovery mode are still limited in their ability to reproducibly identify and quantify all proteins present in complex biological samples. Therefore, the targeted analysis of informative subsets of the proteome has been beneficia...
متن کاملDetermination of Menadione by Liquid Chromatography-Tandem Mass Spectrometry Using Pseudo Multiple Reaction Monitoring.
This study aimed to develop a menadione (MD) determination method employing liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) using a pseudo multiple reaction monitoring (MRM) technique, wherein two quadrupoles are used to monitor the same ion. Detection limits of 40 and 2 pg were obtained for MD and its deuterium-labeled form, respectively, whereas MD intra- and inter-assay coefficient...
